"McFrack" Dorms: Freer, McWane, and Shackelford Halls

One
Tuesday night, I was sitting in my dorm room in
McWane Hall
all alone, writing an essay for my History of Civilization class. It was
unusually quiet for a Tuesday night. From my position at the desk in my
room, the only sounds that could be heard were the music softly ringing from my
laptop and the low hum of the air conditioner. All of a sudden, the
near-silence is interrupted by the slam of a door flying open, followed by a
series of girly screams. I stop my essay and open my door to find one of my
friends chasing another down the hallway with a contraption contrived of two
lacrosse sticks duct taped together and a broken hairbrush tied to the end.
Soon, all of the girls on my floor were in the hallway rolling with laughter as
we witnessed one chase the other in and out of rooms up and down our hall.
Five minutes passed, and everyone was back inside their rooms, studying
diligently. It is this kind of scenario that makes living in the "McFrack"
dormitory development better than living in any other dorm on Lynchburg
College's campus.
