The Dell

When you first come
to Lynchburg College, looking around campus you can see various buildings and
mountains in the background, yet the most relaxing place you will visit is the
Dell.
As I sit on a concrete bench here, I reminisce about the first few times I had visited Lynchburg College's campus. I close my eyes and I can still see the sun and hear the birds chirping. As I open my eyes I can see all different types of trees framing me. Next to me is a tall tree, and after that there is a set of stairs leading to the center of the Dell, known as Friendship Circle. Next to the set of stairs there is a tall lamp that looks like it belongs on a dark street. All of these things combined makes this a very powerful place. Professors and students come here to relax. During the day, students walk to and from classes to fill their brains with knowledge. Students like to sit there and study or meet with friends. Others like to lay back and tan or play a game of Frisbee. The Dell is a safe place for everyone to enjoy.
